Religion and the Rise of Capitalism
A conversation with Professor Ben Friedman ’66
Join us on Thursday, March 25, at 5:00 p.m. ET for a presentation and conversation with our classmate Ben Friedman—one of the nation’s preeminent experts on economic policy. In this session, Ben will discuss his new book, Religion and the Rise of Capitalism—a major reassessment of the foundations of modern economic thinking that explores the profound influence of an until-now unrecognized force: religion. Illuminating the origins of the relationship between religious thinking and economic thinking, Ben will track this relationship to our current economic policy debates and the ways it shapes more functional policies for all citizens. Plenty of time will be allowed for questions and discussion.
Zoom information will be shared prior to the call. We hope to see you there!
